Step 1. Warming up
I give them two qs before the video, Tell me what is about?How do you feel about it?
Ss: Earthquake.
This is what we are going to talk about today. How do you feel about it? I feel terrible. I feel sympathy towards those people.
Step 2. Pre-reading
I show them some pictures to discuss in groups: What do you think will happen before an earthquake?
One picture is to show the pigs and chickens too nervous. Another one: all mice all ran away.
Step 3 While-reading
(1)Skimming: Skim the text to underline topic sentence of each paragraph.
