III. Teaching Methods

To help students achieve the teaching aims much easier, I will mainly use task-based teaching method and multimedia method. For students, I will lead them to study by themselves, and communicate with others. Finally, in order to let them become the real host of the whole class,I will provide them more chances to practice their reading skills.

V. Teaching Procedure

Step 1:Warming up

First, greeting students

Second, play a video of an accident happened on the street and ask them the following questions

1. What did you see in the video? 2. What causes the accident? 3. What can we do?

Step 2:Pre-reading

Ask students to look at the subtile and predict what they are going to learn?

Step 3: While-reading

· 1.Ask students to read the passage for the first time and try to find out the main idea of the passage

· 2. Asks students to read the passage for the second time and work with their partner to try to retell the passage in their own words.

Step 4: Post-reading

Ask students to work in groups to have a discussion about how to help the man

Step 5: Summary and Homework

①　Invite one student to work as an assistant to summarize what we have learned today.

②　Give students a homework :

1. Read the passage again

2. Copy the key words three times.
